Logan Pass was late opening this year because of so much snow. We played the "tourist" and enjoyed see so much snow and crazy people walking through it on the Hidden Lake trail. The trip down to the Avalanche Lake trail head was slow going due to construction on the road but the views more then made up for that.

On the trail to Avalanche Lake we found this perfect picture frame.
Betty Lou (Marilyn & Carol's sister) and her two boys make good use of it.

This hike only gains 500 ft.in altitude but there is so much up and down that we must do the 500 ft. 3 times- or so it seemed. But it was all worth it.

The waterfalls coming off the top of the mountain were spectacular. Some of the spray was being blown back up by the wind. Many people were on the trail and at the lake so we hiked on down to the head of the lake.
There we found peace & quiet? Much fun was had giggling and laughing.

We again played "tourist" on the way home- enjoying Avalanche Gorge & views from the west side tunnel

Gerry had problems adding pictures so any mistakes or problems with the layout are my fault. It was interesting to see how different a posting looked on her computer compared to mine. Faye
