Challenge Question! Who knows what the location is of the picture under the blog title? Any guesses?
June 19th hike to Virginia Falls- A gorgeous day with roaring falls and beautiful flowers. 14 of us started from Sun Point and 9 from the St. Mary's Falls trailhead. We were glad to have several of our hikers back with us for the first time this summer. Also we welcomed Donna & Patsy coming from Waterton. They have the best of both worlds- Tuscan, Arizonia in the winter and Waterton in the summer.
A brief stop at beautiful Baring Falls (the spray felt great) and then on to St. Mary's Falls and our traditional photo spot.

The crew that took the shorter route from St.Mary's Falls trailhead were ahead of us so missed the photo-op.

The trail on up to Virginia Falls had several waterfall viewpoints that enticed us to stop and stay awhile but push on we did.

Virginia Falls was well worth the little bit of climb
The spray from Virginia Falls prevented us from eating or sleeping on the rocks by the bridge, so on down the path we went.

Marilyn, Ruth and Karen at "my homestead" site. Also had a picture of Linda but did'nt dare put it in!
The Falls view point was a good place for cold shower.
The trail along the lake was a flower spectacular, especially the orange Indian Paintbrush.

Dipping our toes in the bay below Sun Point and a stop at the Pie Shop brought an end to a perfect day.
