Another good crowd on our way to Wall Lake- one of our favorite places
one of the most beautiful spots on earth Judy, Jean and Mercede Gilbert
Some of us went to the end of the Lake- Lots of snow still there
Betty, Marilyn, Kathy, Mercede, Gail and ?
Betty and Ruth- looking at all the snow at the end of the LakeThank you Loural for the following pictures
Some of this group and many others went up Bennett Pass which is up above Wall lake
The trail through the meadow
A beautiful little stream- Bennett Pass is up above the snow. It is only about 1 1/2 miles from Wall Lake and looks like it would be easy. In fact it is quite steep and one area going around the side of the mountain is a "hang on" trail of rock.Ruth is on Bennett Pass looking down at Wall Lake. This picture was taken in 1998, the last time Ruth and I were up there. How we would like to be there again but the trail is now "longer and steeper". I guess that's what age does but we feel very blessed for having been there several times and are glad that the younger hikers of our group are following in our footsteps.
