Red Eagle Lake trail June 4-09

Here is the gang ready for the Red Eagle Lake trail- What is so unusual?--It's clear and warm. We usually do this trail with some rain and mud. We were anxious to see what the forest fire, of a few years ago, had done to the trail.

St. Mary's Lake and a perfect reflection- we don't see this very often

Calypso orchid
Thanks to Ritchie for some beautiful pictures-

The views were outstanding and the meadows a flower garden Donna and Ruth

Most of the group went the 4 miles to the Creek-
Pam- swinging on the bridge
Ritchie's sunflowers

Ruth, Donna and I came back by the old Ranger's Station- the display of flowers was wonderful
Donna and Ruth and our enchanted (spooky) forest- We were glad to see the fire had not destroyed this area. A great day of hiking ended with pie at our favorite spot.
