Reynolds Mountain- 3 Sept 2009

At the top of Logan Pass we headed out on the dreaded "boardwalk" trail towards Hidden Lake. Gerry's comment-"The famous boardwalk - let me count the ways I hate thee! One step, two step, three step, more ".
Whoever put those steps in must have been 7 ft. tall. The steps are so high that Gerry, and some of the rest of us,almost get high-centered. Unfortunatly that's the only way to get in behind Reynolds Mountain.
Denise, Ruth,  Debbie (Gerry's daughter-in-law) Gerry, and my daughter Cynthia. We love the color in the mountains and all the beautiful flowers
Ruth, Denise, Cynthia  After leaving the main trail we are now on the Reynolds Mountain climbing route. It was rough going over the rocky trail.
Gerry says- Did I say it was rocky? Look closely to see the visitor's center

The final assult to the first ridge

We shared the trail with this goat. And no, it's not a zoom lens!

Deb (my daughter-in-law) takes a breather over looking Hidden Lake

The Hidden Lake part of Hidden Lake with the next ridge and "Dragon Tail" in the background. It is a steep shale trail going across the backside of Reynolds Mountain to get to the "Dragon Tail"

Look closely and you'll see the hikers having lunch below the Dragon Trail

Going back on the trail between the second and first ridge of Reynolds Mountain. Yes-it is very narrow and a long way down.

LaVern, Ruth, Pam, Denise, Judy, Cynthia nearly back to the Hidden Lake trail. Clements Mountain  in the background.
Many thanks to those who "nursed" my sore foot which enabled me to get back to the parking lot.
This blog is a combination of pictures and comments of Gerry and Faye
