Grinnell Lake-2 July 2009

Bob Steed, Ken Rodgers, Faye, Ruth, Betty, Denise, Denise's sister Jeanette and Donna.
Our traditional first picture at Josephine Lake. Unfortunately the fast hikers went on ahead. When are they ever going to learn to stay with their leader?
Mt. Gould in the background as Betty stops to admire all the beautiful flowers
After crossing the bridge at the end of Josephine Lake we found many Bog Orchids. From the suspension bridge to Grinnell Lake, the park is building more board walk as it is a very moist and wet area.
Ruth and Colleen found a dry seat at Grinnell Lake. Colleen is without her lunch again as Bob (thinking he is still young) took off on the Grinnell Glacier trail. He did make it up to where the trail stopped because of the heavy snow pack.
This is one of Gerry's pictures of ducks on the far side of the Lake.
It was a beautiful calm day with this perfect reflection.
Lunch time with Donna, Gerry, and Denise

It was too wet to walk around the side of the lake.
As we got back to the Upper Josephine boat dock, Ruth, Donna, Gerry and Faye decided the boat looked pretty good so rode back to the lower boat dock.

There we stopped for awhile and watered out feet and layed in the sun.Gerry and Ruth in the water- Donna sleeping
As we got back to our cars most of the others were just getting back also except for Bob. When he got back we really gave him a bad time for taking off with Colleen's lunch and told him he owed her a dinner somewhere. I think I heard that she did collect on that and it was at that expensive Cattleman's lounge at Babb. Way to go Colleen.
